Lead Security Engineer

Catawiki is hiring a Lead Security Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership within its Security team in Platform Engineering. The role focuses on application and cloud security, secure software delivery, identity and access management, CI/CD security, infrastructure as code, threat modelling, vulnerability management, and security incident response.

The position is based in Amsterdam and follows a hybrid working model, with at least 2 days per week in the Amsterdam office.

Substantial hands-on security engineering experience in a software or cloud environment.

Strong knowledge of application and cloud security, IAM, secrets management and secure software development.

Experience with threat modelling, secure code/design reviews and remediation.

Ability to develop or automate using Ruby, Python, Go or a similar language.

Experience integrating security into CI/CD, cloud infrastructure or infrastructure as code.

Experience with security incident investigation or response.

Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.

Google Cloud, Kubernetes and Terraform experience is helpful.
